How to install DocSearch+

DocSearch is a very powerful app, like no other similar app I could find on on the Google App Store, and highly recommended for searching Raymond Aguilera's prophecies on Android devices.

In my opinion, even the Microsoft search does not even have the the same powerfull functionality of as DocSearch.

In the past I used an app called AndroSearch, but it's search functionality was very poor.

DocSearch+ is free, but with limitations and adverts, but really worth the money to get the full power of this app.

I am posting this, because I downloaded this program about a year ago, and it did not work, so I tried it again about two weeks ago, and still did not work for me. But when you read the comments, user feedback was very positive.

So I sought to find why it does not work for me, and finally I discovered why, and thus the need to make this posting, to help others benefit from an excellent text search application.

Step 1

After installing the app, you will eventually be presented with this window, prompting you to choose how you want to index files.

DON’T DO ANYTHING! This is where things went wrong in the past, because this app is not set up to index htm files.

Instead, click backspace button to exit , and you will be present with the main window.

Next press the 3 dots to open MENU.

Choose Preferences

Scroll down to INDEX

Tap this window, called Text file extension.

You will now be presented with all these file extensions.

md,java,text,csv,php,lst,nfo,asp,log

None of these extensions will work with Raymond's files, so we need to modify it.

I don't recommend you use DocSearch for anything else except Raymond's prophecies, because you might run into problems.

Tap in the box, and remove all the text in the box, the simply add the text htm

Click OK.

You are done with Step 1

Go back to main screen to proceed with Step 2

STEP 2

Now we need to tell the app where Raymond's prophecies are so we can INDEX them ONLY!

 You cannot continue with this step unless you have already downloaded and installed Raymond Aguilera's prophecies on your smart phone.

From the main screen, click the 3 dots to open MENU.

Select first option in the MENU.

Select first option in the MENU.

Create/Remove index manually

Select "Create index" (single folder) box.

Select the folder in which Raymond Aguilera's prophecies are in.

Click the Select option.

The index will begin, and will take a while.

My phone took 190 seconds.

At this point you are now finished and ready to do your searching from the main page.

 FIRST SEARCH EXAMPLE

Type in the words…

I am the same

Click on the blue double comma's to tell DocSearch this is a phrase search.

Then click the blue search button.

You should get 8 results

You can now inspect each of the 8 result in either the Brief text, or Full text options.

If you want to access the page, so that everything is visible, including text format, and pictures, click the icon on the right.

Then open first option in the menu "By file extension"

There is a whole lot more rich features that you need to explore to get the full power of this excellent app.
